Tonight I had the honor of leading 3 of my 6 kids in the salvation prayer.
We had watched the Charlotte's Web new release on DVD yesterday and Sarah sobbed about the mommy spider dying. Today, after much thought, Anna starting crying about dying. She was scared.
I explained to her first how we all die and that she will be old and wrinkled and will be ready then. That didn't help. I'm not good at these talks, this is not my gift, but my dh who is good at them wasn't here. So after seeing how that really made things worse for poor Anna I explained death the best I could to a 4yo, 5yo, and 6yo.
I told them how when we die it is really just our body, our shell and that if we have given our hearts to Jesus our spirit, the part that feels and loves will go to heaven. They asked a few questions about how far away heaven is and why our bodies don't go. After that I asked them if they would like to be sure they could live in heaven with God forever after their body dies and they said yes. I had the 3 of them bow their heads and repeat a simple salvation prayer with me and that was it. It was simple and fast, but it was so special. What a priviledge to this mommy!
I'm sure the angels in heaven are singing and celebrating for Cole, Anna, and Sarah!!!!!!

Weight Management Center
I went to my appt. at the WMC on Mon. It was easy! They took my weight, height (I shrunk a little since high school) and talked to me about my health history and how I eat. The RN was really nice and she answered some of my WLS questions.
The RN would like me to cut my Pepsi consumption down to 1 or 2 cans a day which will be a major thing for me and also quit eating cereal for evening snack. It sounds easy but I live for Pepsi and my cereal. She would also like me to go down to 1400 calories a day. I'm going to start it next week because we already had so many plans this week that included eating out so I'm just working on the pepsi and cereal thing now.
The more I lose now the less I'll need to lose post op!!!!
